Vertical IoT for aquatic monitoring
The SAMS system (Sensor-based Aquatics Monitoring Systems) is a complete vertical of EXXN Engineering for marine environmental monitoring IoT, which collects water quality data through high-precision sensors located on buoys and reports it in real-time - using the most suitable wireless technology for each location - to a data processing platform that represents it in the form of a dashboard, including inventory management, infrastructure alarm reporting, and firmware updates for IoT nodes.
SAMS can collect information on temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, hydrocarbons, salinity/conductivity, blue-green algae, flow, current discharge, and any other custom sensor requested by the user.
The basic system is composed of the following elements:
BOX90 Buoy
Discreet buoy anchored with solar panel power supply and high-capacity battery
MSA800 Multisensor
Configurable aquatic multisensor for monitoring up to 8 parameters.
VBO40 Virtual buoy
Multisensor and electronics for docks and cliffs without the need to deploy a buoy
Datalogger EXX1012

Project and permits

Coverage Study
With our CELLDoctor tool, we study the coverage of the installation sites for the buoys, selecting the optimal technology for each deployment (NB_IoT, CAT-M, Sigfox, 2G/3G/4G/5G)
Preventive maintenance
EXXN offers preventive maintenance for different systems to ensure stable operation, with the maximum possible availability, without surprises or hidden costs.

SAMS at Lake As Pontes
SAMS system installed in the largest and deepest artificial lake in Europe, Lake As Pontes. Operated by INTACTA Environmental Management, it integrates a configuration with an aquatic multisensor, current meter, and measurement of the current angle.
